Breezy Corners Family Restaurant
As the name suggests, on a breezy corner out on number 6 North in Freelton, you will find the Breezy Corners Family Restaurant. The Freelton restaurant is the original location, a guest favourite out on number 6 for over 40 years. The restaurant has had new owners since February 2014 (Claudia Draper, Luke Mantin and their kids) who have expanded the “Breezy Corners chain” into two other locations – Guelph, and Hamilton.
The restaurant is a weekend favourite, as their diner-esque décor makes for a perfect atmosphere for Saturday brunching. Diner seating lined up against the waist-high bar. Fresh pie on a pie stand. It all adds to the retro, cozy feel of the joint.
They are best known for their breakfast favourites; such as their classic breakfast dishes, eggs benedict, omelettes and creative daily specials.
Breezy Corners also serves up “home-cooked” lunch and dinner items, and daily dinner specials like: Pork Chops, Liver and Onions, and Prime Rib.
On top of their traditional diner dishes, Breezy Corners has their own ice cream truck parked out front – you can’t miss that little bright orange truck – where customers can cool down with classic cones, milkshakes, banana splits and more.
Everything they create at Breezy Corners is served in large almost-can’t-eat-it-all portions, from-scratch, and all with a smile. They say it’s like eating at Grandma’s house and we can understand why! They want you not to feel like you’re eating in a restaurant environment, but that you’re dining with family, and their customer service really shows that.
Planning on visiting Breezy Corners soon? Why not make a day trip of it? The restaurant is just around the corner from West Avenue Cider, and nearby Terra Greenhouses.
