You Better Drag — Open Stage Drag Show
10:00 p.m. — Sous Bas
The official drag event for Mac Pride 2018, You Better Drag is brought to you by “the collaboration dream team of Sous Bas , Queer Outta Hamilton and Polyester: Drag Show & Dance Party” and it’s Hamilton’s only open stage Drag Show and dance party. The first 20 people to show their McMaster student card at the door get in free.
Saturday, November 3
Hamilton Bevy 0001!
2:00 p.m. — Fairweather Brewery
Toronto’s Society of Beer Drinking Ladies is launching in Hamilton with Bevy 0001, a pop-up event featuring three local breweries, Fairweather, Grain & Grit, and MERIT, alongside Left Field Brewery, Beau’s All Natural Brewing Co., & Henderson Brewing Co. The event will also feature axe throwing, food from women-owned local food vendors, and an artisan’s market (It’s not too early to start your holiday shopping, folks!) A portion of ticket sales and all bar tips will support the Canadian Women’s Foundation.
Mohawk Super Saturday
11:00 a.m. — Mohawk College
Are you a current Mohawk College student or alumni? This weekend is Mohawk Super Saturday, featuring reunions, campus tours, and the chance to cheer on Mohawk athletes at varsity volleyball and basketball games. Click here for the schedule.

Royal Botanical Gardens Tea Festival
10:00 a.m. — Royal Botanical Gardens
All weekend, warm up with a hot cup of tea and sample different varieties from around the world. From green to rooibos, oolong to herbal and everything in between, learn all about your favourite types of tea with tastings and educational presentations. Iranian Film Festival
12:30 p.m. — The Zoetic
Presented in partnership with the McMaster Iranian Student Association (MISA), the Iranian Film Festival at the Zoetic features short films from Iran, including Reclusion, and 18-minute short about the relationship between Delaram, a girl with Down Syndrome, and her mother, and Balance, a three-minute story about the soldiers who are sacrificing their lives so that future generations may live in peace.
Wednesday, November 7

8:00 p.m. — This Ain’t Hollywood
Strangewaves & Centre Francais present JULIEN GASC (France), MARKER STARLING (Toronto), plus local act SARAH GOOD (Hamilton) this Wednesday at This Ain’t Hollywood. Note the early set time. Doors open at 8:00 p.m. Cover $10.00 or $8.00 before 9:00 p.m.

Leadership Summit for Women
6:00 p.m. — Hamilton Library (Central)
The theme of this year’s Leadership Summit for Women is “Press for Progress”, inspired by the International Women’s Day 2018 campaign theme. This year, the Leadership Summit for Women is taking on a fresh new format which will include roundtable discussions led by community leaders. The Leadership Summit for Women (LSW) is presented in partnership by McMaster University, Mohawk College, YWCA Hamilton and Workforce Planning Hamilton.
