It has been just over 2 years now since the Hamilton Burlington Society of Architects hosted their first Architecture Crawl (during the OAA Annual General Meeting). Finally, after much anticipation, the HBSA has announced Architecture Crawl 2.0 on Friday, June 9th 2017 from 7PM-1AM. About time!
The event takes place at 5 architecturally unique venues in the downtown core and features performances by notable local musicians, with exhibitions and delicious hors d’oeuvres by local restaurants. All venues are centrally located and within walking, biking, or cabbing distance. Remember the first Architecture Crawl? No more waiting for shuttle buses and being stranded!
The 5 spaces on the crawl are The Boiler Room at Cannon Knitting Mills, CoMotion On King studio and rooftop patio, The Empire Times rooftop, 10-14 James Street North (The Alley/Sirloin Cellar), and The Foundry at Cannon Knitting Mills.
There are 8 musical acts that will be performing across the 5 venues. These acts include Jennifer Budd, The Medicine Hat, The Vaudevillian, Cowboy Quartet, Jacob Moon, Golden Horseshoe Revival, The Irish Kitchen Party & Guests, and Wheat Fields.
There’s also an after-party at the Cannon Knitting Mills from 11pm-to-1am. It’s going to be one heck of a night.
