Located in the Hamilton International Village, right on King Street, the Fizz will specialize in 4 signature sandwiches (beef, pork, poultry and veggie) and homemade sodas. The Second Bowl Food Project

The Second bowl aspires to provide an over-the-counter quick serve café and market space while assisting the community by providing nutritious affordable meals to all members. Not much is known yet in terms of their food offerings, but we appreciate seeing a spot that is inclusive of everyone who may call the neighbourhood home.

CIMA Enoteca

CIMA Enoteca is a Italian restaurant focusing on House-made pasta, neopolitan pizza, a variety of appetizers and shareable dishes and rotating features. We love seeing that wood-fire oven, soon to be utilized at CIMA!

Moody’s
107 George Street
Coming to Hamilton at the end of June 2017, Moody’s is the same owners as The Ship, so we know we can expect some great things! They’re planning to be a New York style pizzeria, focusing on pizza, killer pastas, and hero sandwiches with a price point of around $14-$18 per mains.

Betula Restaurant
225 King Street West, Dundas
Brainchild of Chef/owner Michael Stauffer, Betula Restaurant will be a garden-to-table restaurant – boasting their own garden with 40+ heirloom tomato plants, peppers, hot peppers, kale, leeks, green garlic, chard, rapini, mizuna, carrots, black salsify, chioga beets, eggplant, tomatillo, ground cherry, peach tree, Montmorency cherry, German plum and 30 types of herbs and edible flowers. The style will be Casual Canadiana with food celebrating diversity and local purveyors.

Motel Restaurant

Coming to Hamilton from the folks that brought School Resto to Toronto, this Miami Mod style restaurant is serving up Brunch, Lunch and Dinner and doing it with style! So far they’ve sneak-peeked some chicken and waffles, avocado croissants and French toast. We look forward to seeing what else they have in store for the restaurant! (Find them opening Fri Jun 9 at 11am, and Sat and Sun 9-3)

Located in the same building inside Corktown Plaza, Little Big Bowl is on the breakfast side of things – specializing in smoothie and yogurt bowls and Eatwell is on the dinner and lunch end of things – specializing in veg heavy, fresh bowls. There has also been mention of a Fish and Chips resto named Codfather, Frats on King William, a new location for Donut Monster, a fancy soft serve joint on James, a wine bar (?) beside Vintage Coffee and the openings from Equal Parts Hospitality.
