GAGED is a collaborative, public forum. Its purpose is to examine the interlocking issues of development, arts, and gentrification in Hamilton in a way that results in greater knowledge and networks for activism and policy work, and with a commitment to social justice and equality.

In the planning phase, GAGED has sought community collaboration from various people and groups doing critical work in Hamilton and are shaping the programming according to community wants and needs.

Planned contributions include panels/workshops from the Disability Justice Network of Ontario, the Coalition of Black and Racialized artists, the Hamilton Tenants Solidarity Network, those working in frontline social services and housing, and folks who are discussing LGBTQ2S concerns regarding gentrification.
